Worship Ministry Internship

Spend a semester learning Worship Ministry in a hands-on environment. You will be working alongside our staff to prepare for Sunday service through planning, leading rehearsals, preparing A/V, and more. You will also learn music industry skills, such as songwriting, music production, music and social media marketing, and more. We prioritize education over labor. You will not be used for menial tasks, or as a means of divesting workload from the staff, but instead, the position is meant to disciple young people with an affinity for worship to be competent in their gift, whether they use it as a volunteer in their home church, or whether they intend to pursue worship ministry vocationally. The number one difficulty that churches are facing in regard to their worship program is a lack of qualified leadership, and we intend to change that.

The internship lasts 18 weeks (one public school semester), and we will target areas of music production, worship direction, music performance, social media and graphic design skills, music marketing/publishing/distribution, songwriting, and more. We take up to three students a semester. The internship prefers older students, however, it is open to all high school students who are rising 10th (having completed their Freshman year) until 12th grade (exceptions may be made if the student expresses interest who does not first this criteria). The internship prioritizes CATA students, but it is open to the whole of the county, assuming transportation is confirmed and reliable. Class credit may be available, but you must discuss that with your counselor.

Upon completion of the internship and subsequent final examination, the student will receive a certification in "Worship Direction and Music Industry" from our Church and affiliated Music Industry Company.
