ONWARD STUDENT MINISTRY [GRADES 6-12]

Philippians 3:12-14: "Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

The goal of Onward Student Ministry is to guide our middle and high school students to press onward in their life in Christ. We will fulfill this purpose as we:

  • Grow- Our students will grow deeper in their faith as they learn from and study God's word.
  • Serve- Our students will put their faith into action by taking what they learn and serving others through missions and gospel proclamation.
  • Relate- Our students will grow closer in relation to each other through trips, events, and doing life together.

WBC's ONWARD students volunteer in many ministries in the church and the community including serving food at the Monroe Shelter, Vacation Bible School lesson and craft teachers and participate in many events including Trunk or Treat, A Waxhaw Country Christmas and Walk Through Bethlehem to name just a few.

We invite you to join our Youth for Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. and ONWARD Student Ministry meetings on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
